We Love Colors

A couple of weeks ago I placed an order from We Love Colors for a few pairs of their lycra plus sized tights. I finally picked them up today.

The colours are great, exactly what I wanted. I ordered ivory, maroon and charcoal. I'm particularly happy with the maroon which is a dark berry red rather than a brown.

The tights seem to be good quality and are nice and soft with a cotton gusset which I find tends to improve durability. They are not 100% opaque so forget using them as a legging alternative. The quality is not as good as the nice thick opaque coloured plus-sized tights (Voodoo or Platinum brand) that I picked up in Myer last year, but they are better than the Curvaceous/Size Wise and the Evans ones I have tried in the past.

In terms of sizing, they are too small. I read a few reviews before placing my order and the consensus seemed to be that they run a bit large. Based on that, and me being between sizes, I went with the smaller size. I can get them on but it is quite an effort. They are wearable but on the border of being too tight. They also lose most of their opaqueness being stretched out that far. I'd suggest going up a size if you are in between.

I will be placing another order and going up a size because they do have an awesome range of colours. At $15US a pop they are not cheap. I think they are a bit overpriced given the quality, but with that great range of colours how are we ever to say no?
