What I wore this summer!

Had the second wedding finally this weekend just gone, so relieved it's all over. With bucks and hens and weddings, it's been an expensive month

I wore a Monsoon 'Mai' dark green silk maxi with silver heels and my hair out, just slightly pinned back and Mum's old black pashmina to keep rain off. Crap weather with the torrential rain and getting soaked just getting into the venue from the car!

With the groom's father, he's been a friend of my Dad's since I was about 5 and as he kept telling everyone, I am family

One of my bargain buys from City Chic. This strapless dress was only $45. Its a really lovely fabric, feels so nice on.
Its a little big in the top though, so Im going to have to get it taken in before I wear it again.
The Cardi is a City Chic from about 2 years ago.

I wore my Diana Ferrari high heeled black peep toes with it.

The necklace is strands of silverish pearls with silver chain tied in a knot (all one necklace) from Diva.

The wedding photos are great, everyone looks relaxed and happy.

A couple of things I've bought recently I need to get taken in around the bust/underarm area, I need the bigger sizes for tummy, hips, bum area (argh), but then lacking in the boobage to fill out the top half! So it seems most things are kind of baggy under the arms and across the chest area.
I've never had anything taken in before - any advice on what kind of price it might usually cost? Any recommendations of places to go for those who live in Perth and have had things taken in before?

I really can't sew at all myself, so I'll need help from a professional!

I usually pay between $30 and $40 for similar alterations - but mine involve taking up at the shoulders. This often involves taking off a sleeve and repositioning it so that might be more complicated, and therefore more expensive.

I went to see Gossip tonight at the Enmore Theatre. Beth was totally awesome, her confidence is inspiring. She wore a sort of leotard with full length legs, and a thick elastic corset belt over the top with flats.

Here is what I wore. I've honestly been waiting for about a year for a chance to wear this corset top.

Just a work outfit today. I picked up this top from Dream Diva when I was in Melbourne recently. I also bought it in lilac, only $10 each!

As for the car, it has been more than 5 months since we ordered it so I'm not that excited about it - but thought the occasion called for something nice. I hope the rain holds off.
