What I Bought Today

I did some damage in Autograph on Sunday. The day before the buy one get one half price sale Damn! I bought some linen 3/4 pants, perfect for the days I can't face my jean cutoffs. A cream cheesecloth shirt which looks fab on, a pale blue shirt/smock thingy, and a musk pink knitted scarf. I bought the pants in three different colours LOL. Who knows when I'll find them again!

Went back in when the sale was on to see if there was anything else that I'd missed, but there wasn't. Lots of longer line jersey stuff that I would wear if I wanted to accentuate rolls and bumps. What the?

Did anyone else get the email from them about the free necklace? I missed their pj promotion last year, so I made sure I got this one! It's nice!

I shopped at RB Sellars today (farm clothes). I bought myself a hot pink work shirt and a pale pink polo, a light cornflower blue work shirt for Josie and 2 polo shirts for hubster. Nothing exciting but I need some work shirts especially coming into winter.

We'll see how they fit, they should be here in the next day or so.
I've got a wide foot, slim ankles and very muscular calves. A terrible combination when trying to find boots!

Though I've gotten boots from Ezibuy before so I at least know that theoretically they will fit me in the toebox.
Mind you, I've probably jinxed myself terribly now.

Lisa-Jane, I once ordered a capture dress in a 20 and it didnt fit too well at all! Mind you I am very busty, but see how you go So I found the sizing was very off!

Picked up my layby from BigW... Dark grey trakkies and pink marle bonds hoodie (soooo comfy), cream georgette tunic/dress, plaid red/blue/black/lurex l/s tunic/shirt dress and I also picked up a s/s black long tee/tunic. We are going to Canberra on the weekend so I decided to get my layby out earlier so I had something to wear!

Well I did jinx myself, but not in the way I thought.

The boots ended up being too big in the foot, so much so that my heel was slipping and sliding about at the back, if it wasn't for that I would have put up with the extra toe room but it is just too annoying otherwise. *sigh* I guess SARA don't believe in standardised sizing in their shoes as their other size ten boots on me are fine.

The boots themselves are a lovely soft 'leather' (aka synthetic ), however what the cat picture doesn't show you is the half zipper on the inside leg, and it's a nasty cheap (looking) zipper that caught a few times before I even got the boots on.

I'm only 5'4 and what little height I have is in my torso, as such for these boots to be under my knee I have to fold the top bit down quite a bit more than shown, and they end up looking a bit like pirate boots.

As always the boots are baggy around the ankle and quite fitting around the calve on me, sometimes it works, but with these particular boots it doesn't. For those of you with calves < 48cms I'd say they'd be an alright fit.

I might try them on again with a pair of tights and see how they look with a few outfights, but I think they will be going back.
